Ideas to live by

We are part of nature just like a leaf of a tree swaying in the wind or a sheep grazing on the field. We exist and we perish. There is no reason to take ourselves too seriously. We are just a guest in the party that is life. We bring something, we have fun and leave without making a mess.

Reinhold Niebuhr wrote a prayer that many of you will recognize. It goes roughly: “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” from source
